No independent test reports support the source's 99.99% or 99.9999% pathogen/virus reduction claims, universal drinking-water safety promises or heavy-metal removal for this model. Confirm certified performance and exact filter media before relying on it. Do not use saltwater or chemically contaminated water. Do not microwave. Prefer the cleanest available source to reduce clogging; follow the manufacturer's priming, draining, cleaning and replacement instructions rather than the source's unclear first-sip instruction. If the selected unit uses iodine, consult the linked CDC precautions before use.
