Use and limitations
The source describes rain protection and use as a small canopy or heat-retaining emergency cover. No temperature, wind or waterproof test rating is provided. This lightweight item does not replace insulated clothing or a properly secured shelter in severe conditions.
Bright colors and reflective material may aid visibility, but do not guarantee that rescuers will see or locate you. Do not rely on the poncho as the sole signaling method.
