Round Fire-Pit Heat-Shield Mat, 24 or 36 Inches

This round mat is intended to sit beneath a raised fire pit as an additional surface barrier. It has a reflective foil face and a second coated-fabric layer, with 24-inch and 36-inch size options.

Listed material construction

• First layer: aluminum-foil and glass-fiber composite cloth.
• Second layer: silicone-coated glass-fiber composite cloth.
• Supplier-described properties include radiant-heat reflection, heat resistance, flame retardancy and water resistance.

The original source claims up to 95% radiant-heat reflection and 1,000°C temperature resistance, but gives no test standard, exposure duration or independent report. Treat these as unverified figures, not safe operating limits. Claims of non-toxicity, guaranteed lawn/deck protection and emergency fire-blanket use are also unsupported.

Do not use this mat as a fire extinguisher, emergency fire blanket or a substitute for required clearances. Follow the fire-pit manufacturer’s surface and clearance requirements, keep the fire pit raised as intended, never place burning fuel directly on the mat and never leave a fire unattended. The 10-inch gap shown in one photo is not a universal clearance rule. Fire pit and food are not included.
