Portable Mini Water Purification Straw for Camping

Carry a compact straw-style filter as part of an outdoor water-treatment kit. The source describes a carbon-fiber filtration element and a portable design for hiking or camping, with performance limits that need verification.

Details

• Source-described carbon-fiber filter element.
• Portable straw-style design in green.
• Supplier-stated filter life: up to 1000 L.
• Source claims 99.9% removal of bacteria, protozoa and microplastics, but provides no test report, pore rating or certification.
• Weight described only as less than a few ounces.

The removal percentage and lifetime are unverified and depend on water conditions. Do not assume any freshwater source becomes safe to drink or that viruses and chemicals are removed. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and use appropriate additional treatment; CDC recommends boiling, or filtering followed by disinfection, when water safety is uncertain.
